Yes, you need more water and less solid when starting from the anhydrous salt. This can be easily calculated - first step will be to find out (using molar masses of sodium acetate and water) how much water is present in the 160g of CH3COONa·3H2O.

  • sodium acetate supersaturated solution

    Updated: 2023-09-30 06:25:49
hi guysI want to do the instant freezing experiment with sodium acetate super saturated solution. I need sodium acetate 3.H2O for this reason but instead I have anhydrous of this salt. I wanted to ask do I have to add more water to see the results, and if so, how much more?(for sodium acetate 3.H2O I have to add 160 gr sodium acetate 3.H2O with 30 gr of water to achieve supersaturated solution)thanks for your help in advance

  • Energy in microstates

Hi, I was just wondering the purpose of this question specifying that the orientations in the microstates are of the "quotsame energy"quot?Calculate the entropy of a sample of a solid in which the molecules may be found in any one of three orientations with the same energy. Suppose there are 30 molecules in the sample. Why is this important? If the orientations were of different energies, would the Boltzmann formula be invalid?Thank

Scientists have suspected L . donovani may stray beyond their immune cell hosts because they linger in the body , but those suspicions have been difficult to confirm with most conventional technologies because the number of infected
